Sometimes we dress up just because, and on this particular "just-because-day", I took Olivia to Vasquez' Rocks to roam around in the beautiful surroundings there. Her and I both love that place..so peaceful and serene. Olivia skipped happily around in her lovely floral dress and her gorgeous cardigan that her "mormor" (grandma) knit for her, and along with her forever-sidekick Georgie, and the beautiful sunset, this afternoon produced some wonderful pictures for us to keep. #

Olivia and I discovered a new hike in the area yesterday afternoon. Last summer, in the Sand Fire, the place literally went up in smoke, and you can still see traces of ashes and burned brush in the mountains surrounding the hike. This winter's heavy rainfall did the place good though; It now has lovely green fields mixed with wheat that's already starting to dry up.
